From M5 at Exeter:

Take the A30 towards Okehampton, continue past the Okehampton turning and proceed to the next junction the A386 for Tavistock at Sourton.
After approximately 4 miles, turn right to Lydford.
Travel through the village, past Lydford church & castle.
After about 1 mile, the road turns sharp right over a narrow "Weak Bridge 17 tons".
Turn sharp left immediately down a lane (a sign for Burn Cottage should be at the entrance).
Continue until you reach an old railway gate with another sign for Burn Cottage.
Drive through the gate along a made up track for ¼ of a mile to the cottage.

From Plymouth:

Take the A386 to Tavistock
In Tavistock town center turn left in front of the Town Hall, and continue straight across the mini-roundabout which is signposted to Lydford, Brentor, Chillaton.
After about 4 ½ miles you'll pass the famous Brentor Church (Brent Tor) on your right hand side.
Travel a further 2 ½ miles passing Lydford Gorge (NT) car park on your left hand side and within 100 yds turn sharp right just before a narrow bridge. This is a lane and there should be a sign for Burn Cottage.
Continue until you reach an old railway gate with another sign for Burn Cottage.
Drive through the gate along a made up track for ¼ of a mile to the cottage.
